How to Calculate the Century

It is quite simple to calculate which century a particular year belongs to!

Firstly, it depends on the number of digits in a year. If it is a four digit year (such as 2023), we add 1 to the first two digits (20+1= 21st century) to find out the century it belongs to.

Similarly, if it is a three digit year such as 302, we add 1 to the first digit only (3+1= 4th century)

Note: Please note that if a year ends with "00," like 800, 900, and 1900, you do not add 1 to the first or first two digits. 800, 900 and 1900 simply belong to the 8th, 9th and 19th centuries respectively.

Infrared Alcohol Test

Infrared Alcohol Test was developed in 2006 for catching drunk drivers.

This test worked on the principle of light reflection - body tissue where alcohol is present absorbs more light than usual. Thus, this device shines infrared light on the person's skin to check whether or not they are drunk.

The entire process detects drunkenness within just 60 seconds.
