National Dream Day

Next Wednesday, 11 March 2026

National Dream Day is celebrated on March 11 every year to cherish the power of dreams, no matter how small or big.

Dreams usually begin with the concept of "what-ifs" and about how different life can be.

On National Dream Day, we honor every ambition, every imagination, and everyone who has the courage to chase after those.

Dreaming does not have an age bracket or any requirements; anyone can dream of anything and take steps toward turning it into reality.

History of National Dream Day

National Dream Day was established by the Dream School Foundation in 1995.

The Dream School Foundation is an organization that is dedicated to encouraging people, especially the youth, to dream and chase after those dreams.

March 11 is chosen in honor of Robert Muller’s birthday.

Robert Muller was born on March 11, 1923, and he was the former Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations.

Muller was celebrated and admired for his vision of harboring a better future and his hope for global peace and education.

He dedicated his life to improving humanity and encouraging everyone to think out of the box.

He became known as “The Millennium Man” due to his broad-minded nature.

The Dream School Foundation got inspired by Muller’s principles and thoughts and created National Dream Day.

This day reminds people that the sky is the limit and dreams can be more than just fantasies.

Dreams have the power to make or break a person; they can contribute to personal growth and help innovate, bringing about positive changes in the world.

Ever since its foundation, National Dream Day has reminded people that huge achievements usually began with a small dream.

Celebrating National Dream Day

There are many ways to celebrate National Dream Day.

One of the simplest yet most meaningful ways to celebrate National Dream Day is by letting yourself dream.

No matter how big or small, do not get scared; let yourself dream. What seems unreachable and far-fetched now will one day be in your hands only if you work towards it.

Write down your goals and dreams, as they can help you become clear about your intentions.

You can also create a vision board filled with words, images, and symbols to encourage you to work harder.

Start by taking one tiny step toward a dream you have been hiding for a while.

It could be anything from starting a new project to learning something creative.

National Dream Day is also a good opportunity to reflect on personal growth.
